Johan Hybschmann: Book Of Space
When I first saw the work of Johan Hybschmann over at BLDGBLOG, it instantly brought to mind Brian Dettmer's Book Autopsies; with this piece however, Hybschmann is more focused on architecture and the relationship between spaces.
The book consists of laser-cut pages which form a representation of the film Russian Ark by Alexander Sokurov (a 90-minute continuous sequence taking the viewer through the Hermitage in St. Petersburg).
Also pictured: exploratory model from a proposed project to redesign the Federal Hall in New York.
