Hiroshi Watanabe
I recall discovering and loving the photographs of Hiroshi Watanabe a couple of months ago, but somehow his work slipped under the radar until now.
Watanabe's images are often soft and ethereal, with a beautiful tonal range; otherworldly, even though his subjects are based firmly in reality. You can see some larger images at the Hearst Photography Biennial site.
