Antony Gormley at Torre Abbey, Penguin 'Field For The British Isles'

Field For The British Isles by Antony Gormley Penguins at Living Coasts

Antony Gormley is one of my favourite artists, and of his works, 'Field For The British Isles' is probably the piece I admire most. I was surprised to find out today that it can currently be viewed at Torre Abbey in Torquay, Devon (images here).

On a related note, and also in Torquay: the staff at Living Coasts have produced a response to Gormley's work, consisting of 700 terracotta penguins, which will be gradually taken away throughout August to represent the disappearing species and raise awareness of conservation efforts.
